Something from Nothing

The 50 mm is a fetish lens that has always attracted me. It's a quality lens for creativity. To my mind, it is the immediate extension of the eye.

This series represents the fruit of several trips, where the simplicity of a place, of a detail are the main elements. We are often attracted by a whole like complex composition. But if we look closely, the small details are important. And it doesn't just have to be subtracted from the whole.

Without artifice, as close as possible to the scene, I wanted to highlight what remains when we are no longer... Unconsciously, this would be to say that I wish to seek presence in absence.

All these photographs are taken on 120 film, Kodak Portra 400 and Fujifilm pro 400 with a Hasselblad 500 CM camera.
